When you donate to Friends of Ashland County Dogs, your support goes directly toward helping dogs in need and strengthening the organizations that care for them.

Your donations have helped provide:

  • Ashland County Humane Society – Financial support following the recent influx of more than 70 dogs rescued from a puppy mill, helping the organization meet the sudden and overwhelming needs of these dogs.

  • Wayne County Dog Shelter – Financial support to help care for dogs brought in as part of a large puppy mill rescue, when additional resources were urgently needed.

  • NoPawz – Financial support for medical expenses to help dogs in need.

  • Enrichment & Training Support – Funding for enrichment equipment, including a dog treadmill, giving dogs an opportunity for exercise, training, and mental stimulation when outdoor activity is limited by weather.

  • Ashland County Dog Shelter – 850 collars provided for shelter dogs Support for Foster, training, medical, and other assistance for dogs including Leo, Sancho, Darla, and Rumor, helping give them the support they needed on their journey toward a better life.

Every donation allows us to respond where the need is greatest — from medical care and training to enrichment, supplies, foster support, and assistance to shelters and rescues.

  • Yes. Making a gift in honor or in memory of a beloved person or pet is a meaningful way to celebrate a life while helping dogs in need. During the donation process, you may leave a note indicating the name of the person or animal you wish to honor. We will acknowledge your tribute gift with gratitude.
